Very old Vintage kerosene lamps often have small bubbles or very fine
tiny hairline cracks embedded in the glass. It is difficult to tell if this was caused in the initial
manufacturing process or it is age related.
It's not unusual to find a very small chip or two, usually on the base under
side, or on the lamp and chimney collars. Remember, many of these lamps have seen years of long and hard use. The perfect vintage lamp is an
antique worth many thousands of dollars. Our lamps are going to have
small defects and flaws, which will be detailed in every sale.
